Little Switzerland are an exciting new band featuring members of popular Hull bands The Cliques, Acrobatics and Snubnose 44. Playing hi energy melodic indie there is already a huge buzz in the city around this super group. Taking influences from bands such as Bombay Bicycle Club and The Clash fusing together a mix of new-wave, indie, folk and reggae to create a hugely original sound. Little Switzerland are one of the most anticipated local bands of the year.
Mark Rowland has been writing music for a couple of years on the guitar but only recently discovered he had a voice after stepping in as a vocalist for a friend. Although he is still in his teens Mark takes influence from all kinds of music from past decades and more recently the likes of Ed Sheeran.
Here are his very first recordings played live in the Warren studios showing the talent Mark posseses. He is already collaborating with MC's, working with bands and writing new material to follow up his first release. You can see him regulatly at the open mic nights and get in touch with him below if you want to add him to your show.
The Warren is a voluntary project in Hull for young people aged between 16-25. Warren Records Is a project offering a platform for unleashing the potential of young people in Hull. A non profit making project, all proceeds go in to sustaining and developing Warren Records.
