Jody McKenna emerged from the national youth music project British Urban Collective at The Warren in Hull in 2008. Since then Jody has honed in on his craft both live and recorded selecting the best of these sessions for his debut album.
Jody has recieved much love and attention due to his honest and humble nature which projects through his music and words securing supports with Finlay Quaye, One Eskimo, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Nick Harper, Baby Gramps and playing The Beverley Festival and Freedom festival to 15,000 people.
Jody is now working with Double Bass player Andy Swift, Guitarist Dave Gawthorpe and Violinist Nahro Zagros exploring a whole new direction and depth to his music.
