Double CD 'State Of The City', a 41 track album featuring some of Hull's finest talent. The CD is primarily home grown music produced in The Warren studio, it also includes many guest artists from around the city.

“In ‘State Of The City’ Warren Records have produced a CD which proudly presents the diversity of this city, and they’ve done it in a way that is more effective than any amount of political speeches or council funded promotion could ever be. If this record is anything to go by then the city seems to be in very good shape indeed.”
Ted – Journalist - Hull Daily Mail / HullVibe / Hull Advertiser

“..The professionalism, from the standard of the recording to the artwork and design. This is no patronising, social experiment. Eclecticism. It's not the indie guitar-fest that can so often be the case: journeying from the expected acoustic singer/songwriter fare to funk, electronica, hip-hop, punk, break beat, ska, garage-rock and a fair few who defy definition. For the taste of just one city, let alone Hull that's pretty impressive. The album is fresh and interesting for the majority of the 41 tracks. Double CD listening can leave the listener jaded by the end, but you are left wishing for tracks 42 and 43.”

Ian Midgley – Music Journalist – Hull Daily Mail

“Warren Records is perfectly placed to nurture and launch new music from Hull and this compilation is a great stepping stone for those involved”
Harry Leckstein – MD Freeport Records and founder of the British Urban Collective

“Warren Records have got everything in place now to well and truly put Hull on the map. We should really salute them and more importantly support them in their quest of providing a base and a platform for local talent.”
